The year 2021 was a time of strong growth in the IT sector, and it was no different for us at Crasman. During the current year, 19 new employees started working with us and by the end of the year, we were already 92 in total. At the beginning of 2022, the milestone of a hundred professionals was surpassed. We have a brilliant team planning and executing the models and technical solutions for the future of e-commerce.
Companies that ventured onto the path of digital commerce early on are investing more heavily than before in developing their services in the coming year. Consequently, the quality of the customer experience and its competitive edge will further increase for those investing in digitalisation. Experts who understand technology, business, and human behaviour – creative geeks – continue to drive this change.
Our Chief Operating Officer Olli Maksimainen wrote a couple of years ago:
“The job requires its doer, in the case of digitalisation, a creative geek who conceptualises, plans and implements new electronic processes. The scarcity of geeks poses a challenge for companies on where to find the most skilled creative geeks for their development projects?”
The importance of permanent teams has been recognised at Crasman
The scarcity of skilled people is a more pressing challenge for clients and suppliers than ever: there are more projects on the market than there are people to carry them out, and the current trend is to hire experts to do them. However, there is value in having the same team carry out long-term development work. In this way, the expertise and business understanding accumulated through work are fully utilised by the client.
As the CEO, I link my own goals to solving the big questions posed by this challenge:
How to create an attractive workplace in the industry, where professionals, motivated by their tasks and forming a genuine community, plan and develop their clients' business in the long term with the best possible tools and technologies?
How to build teams for clients investing in the development of their services, to which they want to commit due to their availability and exceptionally deep expertise in e-commerce?
The Crasman way is to stand against the trend leaning towards personnel leasing in the industry: the CV of an employee is not our product. Our collective thinking, quality project deliveries, and continuous development work of customer teams are. Instead of short work periods, we want and know how to build partnerships where the client benefits from the expertise accumulated by the team over the long term. We believe this combination is optimal for both clients and professionals.
