The year 2021 was a time of strong growth in the IT industry, including at Crasman. During this current year, 19 new employees started, and by the end of the year, we were already 92 in total. At the start of 2022, we surpassed the milestone of one hundred professionals. We're a wonderful team designing and implementing future e-commerce operational models and technical solutions.


Companies that embarked on the path of digital commerce early on are investing more vigorously in service development in the coming year than before. Consequently, the quality of the customer experience and the competitive advantage it brings will grow even more in favour of those investing in digitalisation. Experts who understand technology, business, and human behaviour – creative geeks – continue to drive this change.

Our Chief Operating Officer Olli Maksimainen wrote a couple of years ago:
“Work requires doers, in the case of digitalisation, a creative geek who conceptualises, designs, and implements new electronic processes. The scarcity of geeks poses a challenge for companies: where to find the most competent creative geeks for their development projects?”

Crasman has recognised the significance of permanent teams

The scarcity of skilled people is a more current challenge for both clients and suppliers than ever: there are more projects in the market than there are doers, and according to the current trend, experts are leased to perform them. However, there is value in having the same team conduct long-term development work. In such cases, the expertise and understanding of the business accumulated during the work are fully available to the client.

In my role as CEO, I link my objectives to solving the significant questions posed by this challenge:

  1. How to create an appealing workplace in the industry, where motivated professionals, forming a genuine community, design and develop their clients' business sustainably using the best possible tools and technologies?

  2. How to build teams for clients investing in service development, teams whose availability and exceptionally deep knowledge of e-commerce they want to commit to?

The Crasman way of working pushes back against the industry's trend leaning towards staff leasing: the employee’s CV is not our product. Our collective thinking, high-quality project deliveries, and the continuous development of client teams are. Instead of short work stints, we want and know how to build partnerships where the client benefits from the expertise accumulated by the team in the long term. We believe this combination is the best possible for both clients and professionals.
