In just a few years, Beely has emerged as a significant innovator in the Finnish car market with its "car as a service" concept. Since 80% of Beely's business occurs online, the digital customer experience is the absolute core of the company's success. As Beely outgrew its first online store, it needed a partner to build a new, more ambitious digital ecosystem to support growth and its upcoming European expansion. A world-class digital ecosystem to support ambitious growth
Beely's business model is based on an innovative approach where driving is sold as a worry-free and risk-free subscription service. CEO Pertti Pigg describes: "We wanted to offer customers a new way to manage everyday driving and provide partner car dealerships with a new way to sell services." This ambition was also reflected in partner selections, as Beely needed a partner who shared the same mindset. "We want to be a world-class player at the European level, and our partners must also share a similar mindset," Pigg says.
"In practice, work always boils down to people. There was good and extensive expertise on Crasman's part. From my perspective, the project went very well both financially and in terms of schedule."
Solution
Scalable technology and a shared attitude as the foundation for success
Launched at the beginning of 2022, Beely's new online store is a digital ecosystem that enables the entire business. Its success is based on a scalable architecture built on open-source technology hosted on Google's cloud service. This ensures flexibility and guarantees that intellectual property remains with Beely itself. At the core of the solution, however, was a deep partnership and a shared vision, which allowed Crasman to manage a large and business-critical investment.
Implementation
The new digital ecosystem has lived up to expectations and now acts as the engine of Beely's growth. "Beely is on its way to becoming a world-class player. We needed a partner capable of living in the moment, looking ahead, and moving forward with modernity to build the digital ecosystem. E-commerce is the beating heart of Beely," Pigg states. He emphasizes that a shared attitude and understanding were at the core of the project's success. "In practice, work always culminates in people. There was excellent and extensive expertise from Crasman's side. From my perspective, the project went exceptionally well, both financially and in terms of schedule." Development doesn't stop; the journey continues. "The world is such that you have to run to stay in place, and we want to run hard enough to move forward," Pigg summarizes.
