The balance between work and leisure time, equal treatment for all, and sustainable digital services – these are the cornerstones of Crasman's first sustainability strategy. To ensure that our sustainability efforts are more than just words and noble ideas, we decided to join the UN Global Compact network. 

Crasman is part of the UN Global Compact network

Being responsible in our operations has always been important to us, but with our membership in the Global Compact corporate responsibility network, we aim to commit even more strongly to long-term and systematic sustainability work. We have taken action by creating Crasman's first sustainability strategy.

Our sustainability strategy is strongly based on the values and principles we have believed in throughout our existence. The strategy focuses on two main areas: a more humane working life and more sustainable digital services. We have been working on these themes for several years, but in the future, our operations will be guided by concrete actions and metrics. We will report annually on the progress of our sustainability work to the Global Compact network. 

A more humane working life

For us, a humane working life means, above all, setting realistic expectations and respecting the leisure time of our employees. Our goal is to create a working environment where people can thrive, feel well, and achieve a balance between work and other aspects of life. We want to ensure that we have the tools that enable every Crasman employee not only to be, but also to genuinely feel, equally important. 

To mention one specific action, in 2023 we implemented a salary transparency project aimed at increasing transparency and equality at Crasman. As a result of the project, we introduced a salary level model at the end of the year, which allows our people to see the salary ranges for each level and the goals and expectations associated with them in the future. We also continue to publish salary ranges in our recruitment announcements.

More sustainable digital services

The second focus of our strategy is based on our endeavour to offer more sustainable digital services to everyone. We have divided this theme into two subcategories: accessibility and data security and protection. We are committed to building secure digital services that protect individuals' privacy and are equally accessible to all. In these matters, our goal is not to merely meet the minimum legal requirements but to be one step ahead. 

Therefore, our promise for the new year 2024 is to continue working on the implementation of the above-mentioned themes and ensure that Crasman is not only a responsible partner but also a pleasant and equitable workplace. A concrete sustainability strategy is a good first step, but the real work happens as part of our everyday life.
