The Crasman board has appointed Samuli Hokkanen as the company's new CEO starting from 1 January 2022. He transitions into his new role from his previous position as Chief Strategy Officer. The former CEO, Pasi Kervinen, will continue as the chairman of the board. 

"I have had the privilege to be part of Crasman's entire 25-year journey, most of which has been in the role of CEO. I feel that now is the right time to move forward and bring fresh perspectives and thinking into leadership, which Samuli undoubtedly represents. I will continue in my role as chairman of the board and work closely with Samuli and the management team moving forward," says chairman of the board Pasi Kervinen.

"I first joined Crasman in 2004 as a software developer. Thereafter, my interests led me to a sales role and later to building new business and strategic consultancy work. I have been fortunate to return to Crasman on several occasions from my professional journeys— the company has recognized the value of an employee gaining experience and knowledge from elsewhere," comments Samuli Hokkanen.

"Ultimately, it was Crasman's straightforward culture that drew me back from an international consultancy firm. There is a lot of talk in Finnish working life nowadays about passion and shaping company culture. This has its place, but I firmly believe that good results and a functioning company culture are achieved by taking good care of people. As the next chapter of Crasman's story begins, I see my principal task as CEO being, in addition to growing new business, to support Crasman's talented team and unique culture of creative nerds. I hope that my developer background and long path to becoming CEO will help me stay grounded," concludes Hokkanen.
