It's disappointing to leave a good workplace – introducing content specialist Arttu Rantakärkkä

New employees are often introduced in company blogs, but it's rare for someone who has resigned to get a spotlight.

How should one start such a piece?

  • Hello! I'm Arttu, and I won't be working at Crasman for much longer.

  • Hello! I'm Arttu, and I will be working as a content specialist at Crasman for just over a month (most of which I'll be on holiday).

  • Hello! I'm Arttu, and I'd like to share why working at Crasman is incredibly enjoyable (even though I won't be working here much longer)!

When I informed my supervisor Samuli that I would be resigning at the end of July, he gave me the somewhat strange task to write an introduction about myself as a departing employee. However, this suited me well, as I simply have nothing bad to say about Crasman.

On the contrary: at Crasman, I have enjoyed flexibility, trust, meaningful and challenging tasks, and an inspiring atmosphere where nothing seemed impossible. I have been able to tailor my role to fit my skills and have learned a lot in the process. The well-being and comfort of employees are excellently managed, and there is nothing artificial about the work culture.

Crasman's comprehensive approach to building digital services produces incredible results and receives praise from customers. I have had a front-row seat to industries and development directions that I surely would have missed elsewhere.

In summary: Crasman is an exceptionally pleasant and straightforward work community, where it's enjoyable to create the best digital services in Finland.

So why am I leaving?

Simply because I was offered even more attractive work elsewhere. A significant factor was that my new employer is a major cultural player, which is a dream come true for someone like me who loves culture.

Samuli said he was happy for me as a person, though professionally disappointed. My feelings are the opposite: I'm professionally thrilled about my new job, but personally, I'm saddened to leave a community that has become close and to which I have felt genuine belonging.

Therefore, I can only sincerely recommend working at Crasman to anyone who is passionate about working with high-quality online services and digital marketing – and above all, proudly considers themselves a creative geek.
