One of Crasman’s strengths is its motivating and immediate atmosphere. Flexibility and trust build opportunities for collaboration and skill development throughout the entire organisation.
Veli-Pekka Anteroinen works as a service developer at Crasman in Tampere. He doesn’t see service development as merely programming, but rather, as the comprehensive development of services, just as the name suggests.
“We are continuously moving from static websites towards services. An increasingly larger part of our daily activities is conducted online through various services. Our clients want to develop their services so that they are easy and effortless for end customers. It is my job to propose solutions, develop services, and implement them in practice,” Anteroinen explains.
“New services are constantly emerging, but ongoing development of services is also crucial. All services and websites are evolutionary. If they do not develop, they fade and perish. What is great about Crasman is how truly it enhances services significantly. It is wonderful to do something that helps the client. If the client’s sales or revenue is increased, the feeling is amazing. Or when you realise a tool genuinely simplifies the client’s day-to-day life. When we succeed in taking a significant burden off the client, it feels like we have done something meaningful,” Anteroinen shares.
Nobody knows everything, but in a good work community, help is always nearby
At Crasman, Anteroinen is also motivated by the excellent work environment and flexibility, as well as the genuine atmosphere of cooperation.
“There’s no rigidity anywhere, ideas are never outright dismissed, and management listens to employees. I felt the good spirit immediately when I joined. Here, work is taken very seriously, yet there is just the right amount of playfulness and a sense of working together.”
“We have such skilled people here and an impressive amount of expertise, that I constantly feel the need to cheer up and invest myself. All this knowledge around motivates me to keep improving. On the other hand, nobody knows everything. There are always things where you can assist others. It makes your own work easier when there’s always someone to ask. We have a good vibe here, surrounded by a group of professional people whom it’s enjoyable to work and spend time with. Here, you can truly emphasise the word community in the work community,” Anteroinen summarises his work at Crasman.
