Challenge
Auto, jota ei tarvitse ajatella
Beely’s entire business concept is built on simplicity: a car should run smoothly without its maintenance becoming a burden for the customer. In practice, however, vehicles require regular servicing, inspections and tyre changes. For Beely, these routines are business-critical, as the value of the fleet is only preserved when schedules are strictly kept. Previously, managing these maintenance visits placed a significant demand on Beely’s customer service, and tracking mileage, for example, often required customers to keep a manual eye on the trip odometer. The goal was to build a service that not only makes daily life effortless for the customer, but also frees up customer service from routine tasks to focus on truly meaningful work.
“The goal was to create a premium service that extends contract terms, increases renewal rates, and encourages more customers to recommend us. Beely ensures that your car never gets in the way of life.”
Solution
Service design with real users and seamless technology
The project commenced in late winter 2024 with service design. Rather than refining the application solely at the drawing board, MyBeely’s user interface and functionalities were validated with real customers. Nine test users helped fine-tune the service booking flows and mileage tracking logic, ensuring the final implementation was built on verified user needs.
The project commenced in late winter 2024 with service design. Rather than refining the application solely at the drawing board, the MyBeely user interface and functionalities were validated with real customers. Nine test users helped polish the service booking flows and mileage tracking logic, allowing the final implementation to be built upon verified needs.
A Progressive Web App (PWA) was selected as the technological solution. It operates in the browser as smoothly as a native application installed on a phone, yet lowers the barrier to entry as no separate download from an app store is required.
Behind the scenes, a robust ecosystem of three systems was constructed: Strapi manages content, Salesforce lies at the core of customer data and processes, and marketing automation alongside customer communication is powered by HubSpot.
Implementation
Tangible results in just two months
The application itself runs on a secure and flexible cloud architecture at the Hamina data centre, which utilises 97% carbon-neutral energy. Kubernetes-based containerisation and automated continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) ensure rapid and stable development, while Cloudflare effectively secures users' personal data and vehicle data. MyBeely was launched to customers in December 2024, and the reception exceeded expectations. Just two months after the launch, over 35 per cent of Beely's customers had adopted the app. Users gave the service an excellent rating of 4.4/5, and more than a thousand transactions were quickly completed through the application. However, the most important of the original goals was achieved: customers quickly embraced the new self-service channel, which reduced the workload on Beely's customer support by up to 50 per cent.
